What this guide collects and why.

This is a public content site with no accounts, checkout, user database or contact form. It uses limited third-party services to understand readership, show videos on request and receive email.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics loads when a page is visited. It may process page URLs, referrals, engagement, broad device and browser details, approximate location derived from network information, and first-party identifiers used to distinguish sessions. We use this information to understand which guides are useful and which calls to action are used.

Custom events describe the type and location of a Steam, Demo or email call-to-action click. They do not include an email address, account name or message content.

Cookies and controls

GA4 commonly uses first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish users and sessions. You can restrict cookies through your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out tool. Google explains its own processing in the Google Privacy Policy.

YouTube videos

Video cards start as local page content and thumbnails. A YouTube privacy-enhanced iframe from youtube-nocookie.com is created only after you choose to play a video. YouTube may then receive technical request data and apply its own policies.

Email

The contact icon opens your own mail application. Messages are handled by the sender’s provider and the site’s Gmail inbox, not stored in this website or its database. Messages may be retained as needed to answer, document a correction or address a rights request.

Changes and questions

This policy will be updated when the site’s tools or data practices change. Questions about this notice can be sent through the contact page.
