Low-Budget Repairs Guides
Start playing Low-Budget Repairs, learn the controls, finish jobs, unpack boxes and solve common launch blockers with source-labeled guides.
The short version
Start with the beginner route if you are new, or jump directly to the action that is blocking a job. These guides cover controls, job hand-ins, boxed objects, saving and mission help while keeping normal game behavior, official fixes and community reports clearly separated.

Open guideChoose the guide by symptom
- New to the game: begin with How to Play
- A key or placement action is unclear: open Controls
- The room looks finished but the contract remains active: use Finish a Job
- A packaged object will not unpack: use Open Boxes
- Save is greyed out or progress appears missing: use How to Save
- A named mission is blocked: open the Jobs index
The repair loop in one minute
- Read every line in Work Plans before moving or discarding anything.
- Inspect the room for supplied materials and the exact surface named by the objective.
- Equip the requested tool and follow the live action prompt for the object in your hands.
- Recheck the objective list after each room or installation is complete.
- Create a manual save when the menu permits it.
- Finish through the wall phone, active NPC marker or other scripted hand-in.
Supplied item, shop purchase or progression gate?
Mission supplies are often placed near the work area, on shelves or inside the vehicle rather than delivered through a separate pop-up. Search the room and read the objective before buying a duplicate. If a shop is missing, continue the current story objective before treating the map as broken.
Run the short stuck checklist first
- Install the latest Steam update and restart the game
- Match the requested color, material, object and surface
- Look behind furniture, around cables and near the exit
- Check whether the final phone or NPC interaction is still pending
- Preserve a working save before dismantling completed work
- Compare the exact symptom with Known Issues
Read every workaround by evidence level
Official changelogs define what the developer says is fixed. Developer replies can clarify intended behavior for a particular task. Other Steam posts remain community evidence: they can provide a useful retry order, but they may not apply to every save, language or game version.
